Physiotherapy involves the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of muscle and joint problems, especially lower back and neck pain, but also the shoulder, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees and feet. We have experience and knowledge of the latest evidence-based practice, assessment and diagnosis of injuries, and use of ‘hands-on’ management techniques to assist recovery and prevent injury, including dry needling and Mulligan’s techniques.
As well as general physiotherapy, our physiotherapists may utilise the following techniques:
Dry Needling which is a form of acupuncture used by physiotherapists to help relieve muscle tension, pain and inflammation. Michael and Angela are both qualified to perform dry needling as part of their physiotherapy treatments if indicated.
Clinical Pilates which aims to improve movement patterns and body control. Individually targeted and specific exercises help to reduce pain and improve movement based on your injury history. At Fizzio for Life we offer clinical pilates as either a one-on-one session, or as part of a small group program where you perform sets of exercises specifically designed for your condition or problem. The programs are continually monitored, assessed and altered depending on your progress.
